Solid Organ Transplant Recipients
Racquetball will be played as men’s and women’s singles.
Competitors must be pre-registered to compete in racquetball.
Competitors will compete in their own gender, age category and division. Competitors will play two matches chosen by random within their gender, age category and division. Each match will consist of 3 games of the first to score 15 (for 1st
game) and 11 (for 2nd
Following the two matches players will be seeded for a single elimination bracket. The single elimination bracket matches will consist of 3 games of the first to score 15, 11 and 11. The players will be seeded top to bottom based on the two match results in the following order:
2. Points allowed
3. Point Differential
4. Coin flip
All matches will be self-officiated. The Tournament Director will moderate all disputes.
United States Racquetball rules apply except where modified by local rules (www.usra.org
). With some modifications.
Once an event is completed and results are available, racquetball staff must record all competitors and times/scores to the appropriate system/documents. When electronic scoring is being utilized a manual backup system must be in place to record results.
When available, during the course of competition, sports directors may post results (identified as preliminary) for public and competitor review.
Upon conclusion of the day’s competition, sports directors must submit final results for each event. Manual documents must be signed and dated by the appropriate staff member. Results will be reviewed for accuracy and posted in the TGA Village.
1. Players must provide their own racquets. Eye protection and appropriate footwear are mandatory.
2. Racquetballs will be provided.
