There will be many special events throughout the weekend including:

Donor Family Golf Outing-The 17th Annual James Hale Memorial Golf Classic has become part of the Transplant Games of America special events offering! 

Zumba Dance-outdoor dance class (open to the public) following 5K run in downtown Grand Rapids.

Fitness Classes- a variety of movement/exercise classes to meet needs of various fitness levels

Barbeque-will also feature kids games, bingo, talking wall and photo booth, as well as great food!

Beach Volleyball-open to anyone wanting to play some fun games in the sand!

Rock Climbing-an indoor, supervised climbing wall at Grand Valley State University. 

Coffee House-an open mic/taping forum for donor families, living donors, recipients and professionals to share a few words.  Participants can relax over dessert and coffee and share personal thoughts, stories, poems, songs or other creative expressions about how donation has affected their lives.

Donor Tribute- a special tribute to our loved ones who have donated organs, tissue and corneas at the time of death and to living donors who have given organs so others could have a second chance at life.  Living donors will also be honored at this event.  All donor families and Games participants are encouraged to attend.

Spectrum Health Transplant Workshop- This workshop, presented by Spectrum Health, offers encouragement, education and support to those who have been affected by organ transplantation and/or donation.

Quilt Display/Banner Making- a large number of Michigan Donor Family Quilts will be displayed while families will have the opportunity to write, draw, design banners for display and feature during closing ceremonies.

Quarter Century Club Dinner Cruise - Dinner and 2 hour cruise on the Grand Lady Riverboat

Saint Mary's Rally for Kidneys- join us on Saturday July 28, 2012 from 3-4pm at Rosa Parks Circle in downtown Grand Rapids to help raise awarness for kidney transplant/donation.
