Format: The first event is a five kilometer closed course time trial (one kilometer for athletes 13 and under). The winner in each age group will be the individual with the lowest elapsed time.

The second event will be a 20 kilometer road race by age groups. Some age group races will be combined in the interest of competition. All competitors will be allowed 30 minutes to complete the course after the first competitor in the heat finishes; after 30 minutes, the race is over, and timing will cease.

Chip time will be used for both cycling events.  The course route can be found here.

Equipment: Bicycles will not be available for rent; participants must bring their own bicycle. Helmets must be worn. Bicycles must be in a safe and rideable condition. There will be a mandatory safety inspection. Aerobars are not permitted in the road race.

Bike Transportation: The shuttle buses to GVSU do not have enough storage for everyone's bike. TGA will provide transportation for bikes out to GVSU. A U-haul truck will be located by the Courtyard by Marriott on Sunday morning. Bikes will need to be loaded by 7:45 AM sharp to make it to the race on time.

You can load your bike on the shuttle from the 28th street hotels to get to the Courtyard by Marriott.

*If an athlete does not scratch from an event and subsequently failrs to compete in that event, he/shel will be ineligible to compete in any other events in that sport for that day.
